Business Support Administrator (Medical Consultants) – Permanent Role

Position Summary

An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Administrator (Medical Consultants) at the:

➤ Location: North West Area Centre, Kilmarnock ➤ Workplace: Mental Health, Alcohol Drugs & Learning Disability Service (East Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership)


Hours

📅 Commencing from Tuesday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Wednesday 9:00 AM – 4:36 PM for a total of 14.59 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities

You will provide a confidential, comprehensive medical secretarial support to Mental Health NHS Teams within: 🔹 Mental Health, Alcohol Drugs & Learning Disability Service

Core Duties

  • Confidential Support: Manage sensitive documentation to cater to NHS Mental Health Teams.
  • Specialist Knowledge: Apply your understanding of medical, functional, and legal terminology.
  • Problem Solving: Take initiative to tackle non-routine issues, streamlining procedures or finding alternative solutions.
  • Procedural Expertise: Operate with awareness of organisational policies and procedures.
  • System Proficiency: Be conversant with Microsoft Office packages.

NHS-Specific Experience (Desirable)

  • Previous experience within an NHS environment.
  • Knowledge of NHS networks and workflows.

  • Communication & Interpersonal: Exceptional skills for collaborative teamwork.
  • Self-Motivation: Capability to work autonomously and independently stimulate findings.
  • Workload Management: Organise/minimise conflict of challenging deadlines and adapt when needed for a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

✅ An Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration ➤ OR Equivalent demonstrable experience with relevant exposure.
