You will also help maintain website content, support the informal appeals process and build positive relationships with residents, Councillors and other stakeholders.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys customer contact, can manage a varied workload and is confident working with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve queries.

Street Scene and Grounds Maintenance

You will provide administrative support to Street Scene and Grounds Maintenance teams, helping frontline services manage enquiries, coordinate incoming work and complete day-to-day administration.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key duties include handling customer and stakeholder enquiries, triaging work from online forms, emails and calls, maintaining internal communication systems, supporting HR administration and working closely with operational colleagues.

Location and working environment

The Street Scene and Grounds Maintenance role is based at the Council's Aylesbury Depot, Monday to Friday, within a busy operational environment.

About You

We are looking for people who are organised, reliable and confident communicators, with a positive approach to supporting colleagues and customers. You do not need to know everything from day one, but you will need to be proactive, willing to learn and comfortable managing a varied workload.

  • Is well organised with strong administrative skills
  • Has experience supporting meetings, including note taking or minute taking
  • Can manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Has good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Is confident working with a range of colleagues and stakeholders
  • Takes a proactive and flexible approach to their work

Experience in an administrative or business support role is essential. Experience in a local authority, programme support, customer service or operational support environment would be beneficial, but the right attitude, attention to detail and ability to work well with others are just as important.
