Role Overview
This is a key position within the Association. Reporting to the HR & Governance Manager, the post holder will play an important role in supporting the delivery of administrative, communication, and engagement functions across the organisation.
Job Responsibilities
Work Activities

Administrative Support
- Enter data into the Housing Management System (SASSHA)
- Document management using MS Office
- Help prepare correspondence, reports, and meeting papers
- Order and maintain office supplies

Communication
- Support internal communications such as staff newsletters
- Assist with external communications including tenant newsletters, annual reports, and surveys
- Log complaints and compliments in SASSHA

Tenant and Community Engagement
- Help deliver snap surveys and tenant questionnaires
- Support Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) activities
- Assist with community engagement through the charity shop

Governance and Participation
- Support resident and stakeholder consultation activities
- Help ensure communications are clear, accessible, and inclusive
- Identify and share ideas for service improvements
- Work with external organisations as directed by the HR & Governance Manager

Housing Management
- Support the Housing Team to deliver a courteous, efficient, and effective service to customers covering all aspects of the Association’s Business, including tenant liaison, general enquiries, and communal inspections.

Course Contents
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record, and analyse data.
- Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement, making effective decisions based on sound reasoning.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within the team and across the organisation.
- Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing, or on digital platforms.
- Completes tasks to a high standard and demonstrates the necessary level of expertise required to complete tasks.
- Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities, and time to successfully meet deadlines.
- Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor, and report.

Company Overview
We are a small, community-based housing association operating in South Sefton. We own over 440 properties, mostly located in Seaforth and Waterloo. The Association was formed in 1969 by a group of volunteers committed to changing the appalling housing conditions that faced many local families at the time.
