Business Support Assistant, Edinburgh

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Support Assistant to join our team. This role is integral to delivering an exceptional client experience by providing administrative and operational support to the wider banking and relationship management team.

This is a Hybrid position, with full-time in-person attendance required initially (Monday to Friday). Flexibility around working hours may occasionally be required to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the banking and relationship management teams, including payment processing, account opening, foreign exchange transactions, and deposit administration.
  • Ensure all activities are completed in line with regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, and risk management standards.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation, ensuring compliance with data protection, Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
  • Accurately maintain CRM records, including client interactions, appointments, meeting notes, prospects, and business opportunities.
  • Prepare documents, reports, presentations, and other business materials as required.
  • Support the maintenance of internal systems, filing, and data management to ensure efficient business operations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client and colleague enquiries.
  • Deliver a right-first-time approach, maintaining high levels of accuracy across all administrative activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across different business functions to ensure excellent client outcomes.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and additional business support tasks as required.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Complete all mandatory training and actively support continuous learning and development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
