The City of York Council's corporate Business Support Service is offering an exciting opportunity to join the team, where you'll play a vital role within the Blue Badge Team.

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support, collaborating closely with service managers, and partner agencies.

Key Skills Required

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
  • High degree of customer service skills, particularly with regard to emotive and sensitive information.
  • High computer literacy and familiarity with information technology.
  • Flexibility to adapt within a team environment and manage changing priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills, including effective time and task management.
  • Ability to adapt working practices, suggest service improvements and be responsive to change.
  • Ability to interrogate the case management database to obtain required information.

Please note the nature of this role will involve highly confidential information about vulnerable service users, therefore we recommend candidates consider this prior to applying.

This role has hybrid working available but the successful candidate will be expected to work from West Offices each week in addition to attending team meetings.

This role is suitable as a job share opportunity.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
