Position Overview
An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Support Clerical Assistant within NHS Ayrshire and Arran’s Business Support Service, based at The Johnnie Walker Bond in Kilmarnock. This role will provide administrative and clerical support to the Ayrshire Community Blood Service Administration Team.
Key Notes:

- Hours: 21.6 hours per week (Monday, Thursday & Friday)

Role Responsibilities
To align with NHS Ayrshire and Arran’s vision of Working together to achieve the healthiest life possible, this role plays a crucial part as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring:
- Adherence to organisational policies and procedures regarding confidentiality, communication, and professionalism
- Prompt responsiveness to all enquiries, projecting a positive and professional image of the service
- Collaborative work environment, including coverage during periods of staff absence or heightened demand
Duties may include:
- Supporting the Community Blood Service Administration Team with clerical and administrative tasks
- Managing communications efficiently across multiple sources
- Ensuring seamless flow of information while maintaining confidentiality
- Flexible working to cover absences or heightened workloads

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Successful candidates should possess:
✔ SVQ 2 in Business/Administration (or equivalent qualification) ✔ Experience of working in the Health and/or Social Care sector ✔ Familiarity with managing information systems (MIS), including databases and spreadsheets ✔ Proficient use of Microsoft Office systems
