Business Support Officer – Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS)

Job Summary

The Business Support Officer provides critical analytical, coordination, and governance support to the EMEA leadership team. Ideal for an early-career professional with a strong foundation in Business, Economics, or a related discipline, plus 2–3 years of experience in business, finance, operations, or consulting.

This role ensures effective decision-making through:

  • High-quality management information
  • Structured governance
  • Cross-functional coordination

Responsibilities

Management Information & Business Reviews

  • Own and maintain the monthly Management Information (MI) and EMEA Business Review deck, collaborating with teams to ensure consistency.
  • Support reporting across:
    • Profit & Loss (P&L)
    • Value Creation Plan (VCP)
    • Growth metrics
    • Change Orders
    • Headcount
    • Risks and issues
  • Oversee the risk and issue register, ensuring risks are properly documented, assigned, and tracked.

Change & Governance Support

  • Provide structured support for change programmes, including tracking:
    • Progress
    • Actions
    • Key milestones
  • Uphold governance standards and ensure accurate record-keeping of critical information.

Cross-Functional Action Tracking

  • Oversee action tracking across EMEA, ensuring:
    • Actions from leadership meetings are logged
    • Updates and closures are followed up
  • Engage stakeholders to drive timely resolutions.

Meeting & Operating Rhythm Support

  • Manage meeting governance, including:
    • Agenda coordination
    • Materials preparation
    • Note-taking
    • Post-meeting follow-ups
  • Ensure meetings are effectively structured and produce clear deliverables.

Executive & External Presentation Support

  • Assist in preparing external presentation materials for:
    • Customers
    • Partners
    • Stakeholders
  • Support senior leaders with clear, accurate, and professional content as needed.

Requirements

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in business, finance, operations, consulting, or analytical roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in working with data and metrics.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (or equivalent tools).

Desirable

  • Experience with financial reporting (e.g., P&L, headcount, forecasts).
  • Background supporting senior stakeholders or leadership forums.
  • Familiarity with change initiatives, governance, or programme support.
