Business Support Officer | 10871 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week
£32,061 to £33,699 per annum (Scale G) | Norwich
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive business support officer to join our busy governance team at the Norfolk Pension Fund, helping us deliver services for the benefit of members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). This is a key administration role within the team, offering the chance to make a real impact by providing high quality executive support to the Pensions Leadership Team.
The Norfolk Pension Fund is responsible for all aspects of managing, administering and delivering the LGPS in Norfolk. We deliver the LGPS on behalf of over 400 participating employers and around 100,000 scheme members and beneficiaries, managing assets of over £6 billion.
Our mission statement is “To manage the Norfolk Pension Fund efficiently, effectively and fairly on behalf of our stakeholders so that pensions benefits are paid as they are due”. The Business Support Officer role provides vital support and resilience to the governance team who are responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Governance arrangements in place for the Fund, the Oversight Board and Pensions Committee.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, a flexible team player and somebody who takes pride in what they do. You will be proactive - constantly looking for improvements to processes and practices, dealing with matters with a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity, and communicating effectively with people at all levels, both in writing and verbally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting Senior Management, Pensions Committee and Pensions Oversight Board
- Implementing effective administrative procedures.
- Ensuring finance and procurement systems are correctly administered and maintained
- Publishing communications in collaboration with Communications colleagues
You will be working as part of a critical team and playing a key role in supporting the valuable work of the Pension Fund.
