About The Role

As a Receptionist / Administrator – Adult Social Care in West London, you will be the first point of contact at a newly developed Education, Health & Wellbeing Hub. This full-time, temporary role supports adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Your duties include managing a busy reception, handling phone and email queries, and providing comprehensive administrative support to the team. Strong organisational abilities, IT proficiency, and a professional, compassionate manner are essential for liaising with vulnerable individuals, families, and professionals. The hourly rate is £21.52 PAYE or £27.35 umbrella, working Monday to Friday from 8:45am to 4:30pm in this long-term opportunity.

The Role

You will act as the first point of contact for the centre, ensuring a welcoming, safe, and efficient reception and administrative service.

Responsibilities Include

  • Managing the front desk, greeting visitors and directing them appropriately
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries
  • Coordinating and updating transport arrangements for residents
  • Maintaining accurate records, registers, and usage data
  • Supporting communication with families, carers, and external professionals
  • Monitoring health & safety logs, reporting repairs, and conducting daily checks
  • Managing post, supplies, and general office organisation
  • Supporting events, meetings, and centre communications

  • Previous experience as a Receptionist, Administrator, or Front Office professional
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and empathetic manner
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and office systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working within a social care or public sector setting

A genuine interest in supporting adults with additional needs is highly desirable.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months (essential)
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends on a rota basis (with days off in lieu)
