Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive Business Support Officer to join a busy business support team on a part-time basis. Working closely with the Business Support Supervisor, you'll help oversee daily operations, support customer service activities and identify opportunities to improve processes. This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining administration, customer service and operational support within a growing e-commerce business.

Hours: 17.5 hours per week, including 1 weekend day per month.

Responsibilities of the Business Support Officer:

  • Support and deputise for the Business Support Supervisor, helping to coordinate day-to-day team activities.
  • Process online orders, purchase invoices and customer requests using internal systems and Shopify.
  • Monitor stock availability, supplier lead times and fulfilment processes to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Identify and implement improvements to administrative and online sales processes while managing returns, exchanges and cancellations efficiently.

Requirements of the Business Support Officer:

  • Previous administration experience is essential.
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent written communication and numerical ability.
  • A methodical, detail-focused approach, with confidence using Microsoft Excel and learning new IT systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work collaboratively within a team.
