Business Support Officer | 10871 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £32,061 to £33,699 per annum (Scale G) | Norwich

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pro-active business support officer to join our busy governance team at the Norfolk Pension Fund, helping us deliver services for the benefit of members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). This is a key administration role within the team, offering the chance to make a real impact by providing high quality executive support to the Pensions Leadership Team.

The Norfolk Pension Fund is responsible for all aspects of managing, administering and delivering the LGPS in Norfolk. We deliver the LGPS on behalf of over 400 participating employers and around 100,000 scheme members and beneficiaries, managing assets of over £6billion.

Our mission statement is “To manage the Norfolk Pension Fund efficiently, effectively and fairly on behalf of our stakeholders so that pensions benefits are paid as they are due”. The Business Support Officer role provides vital support and resilience to the governance team who are responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Governance arrangements in place for the Fund, the Oversight Board and Pensions Committee.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, a flexible team player and somebody who takes pride in what they do. You will be pro-active - constantly looking for improvements to processes and practices, dealing with matters with a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity, and communicating effectively with people at all levels, both in writing and verbally.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
