Business Support - Regional Consultant

Office Support Professional (Office Cover) – South West – Cardiff, Bristol & Southampton

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced, organised and reliable Office Support Professional to provide flexible cover across the South West, ensuring seamless operations in Cardiff, Bristol and Southampton.

This role is ideal for a flexible team player with expertise in:

  • Office operations
  • Hospitality
  • Internal customer service
  • Staff engagement
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and travel at short notice.

About the Role

Based in Cardiff with regular coverage across Bristol and Southampton, this position is perfect for a service-focused professional who is both flexible and detail-oriented. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day office activities to maintain smooth operations and compliance.
  • Coordinate facilities and visitor experience, including meeting room setups and event logistics.
  • Provide excellent hospitality services, including scheduling, visitor management and catering support.
  • Act as a first point of contact for internal teams, delivering consistent customer service.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service standards.

What Our Ideal Candidate Will Bring

Core Capabilities

  • Office Operations – Maintain office standards (supplies, workspace, site compliance).
  • Hospitality & Reception Excellence – Book/manage meetings, handle visitors, assist with AV equipment and catering.
  • Internal Customer Service – Offer proactive, professional support to colleagues.
  • Process Improvement – Continuously review and refine ways of working.
  • Collaboration & Team Support – Work closely with national and local support teams to manage workloads effectively.

Experience & Requirements

  • Essential:
    • Significant experience in office administration or support.
    • Strong communication and proactive approach.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and online booking/scheduling tools.
    • Experience supporting events, meetings, and cross-functional teams (highly desirable).
  • Working Environment:
    • Cardiff-based role with regular travel to Bristol and Southampton.
    • Ability to respond to short-notice travel requests.
