Business Support Team Leader – Environmental Services
Location: East Suffolk Council (Lowestoft, NR33 0EQ or Melton, Woodbridge, IP12 1RT) Salary: £35,412 – £38,220 per annum (pro rata for part-time staff) Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Permanent

The Role
The Environmental Services team handles a broad range of regulatory and advisory services, including:
- Food safety
- Occupational health and safety
- Public health
- Noise and nuisance
- Air quality and animal health
- Contaminated land
- Climate change initiatives
As Business Support Team Leader, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of Environmental Services Support Officers
- Provide technical and administrative support to ensure effective, efficient operations
- Collaborate with council teams and external stakeholders
- Support the team by overseeing management, financial, and performance reporting
- Pursue continuous improvement in services and processes
- Deliver high-quality customer service
