Business Support Team Leader

Business Support Team Leader – Environmental Services

Location: East Suffolk Council (Lowestoft, NR33 0EQ or Melton, Woodbridge, IP12 1RT) Salary: £35,412 – £38,220 per annum (pro rata for part-time staff) Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Permanent

The Role

The Environmental Services team handles a broad range of regulatory and advisory services, including:

  • Food safety
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Public health
  • Noise and nuisance
  • Air quality and animal health
  • Contaminated land
  • Climate change initiatives

As Business Support Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead and manage a team of Environmental Services Support Officers
  • Provide technical and administrative support to ensure effective, efficient operations
  • Collaborate with council teams and external stakeholders
  • Support the team by overseeing management, financial, and performance reporting
  • Pursue continuous improvement in services and processes
  • Deliver high-quality customer service
