Business Teacher (KS3 & KS4) – Hackney
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Business Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Hackney from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to inspiring students through engaging Business lessons and helping them develop the knowledge, analytical skills, and commercial awareness needed for future success.

As a Business Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop an understanding of enterprise, finance, marketing, and the wider business world through stimulating and relevant learning experiences.
The role will commence in September 2026, offering an excellent opportunity to join a successful and supportive department within an ambitious secondary school.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated Business lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of business concepts, entrepreneurship, finance, and marketing.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using assessment effectively to inform planning and raise attainment.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students can thrive.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND and varying abilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and departmental success.
- Participate in the wider life of the school where appropriate.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.

Essential Criteria
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience teaching Business across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Business education.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to deliver engaging, inclusive, and differentiated lessons that inspire students to achieve their best.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Preferred Criteria
- Experience preparing students for GCSE Business examinations.
- A proven track record of raising attainment and student progress.
- Experience working within a secondary school setting.
- A willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider life of the school.
- A passion for continuous professional development and collaborative working.
This role would suit an experienced Business Teacher looking for a new opportunity, as well as an ambitious ECT seeking a supportive environment in which to begin their teaching career. The successful Business Teacher will join a dedicated department with excellent support from experienced colleagues and leaders, helping students develop valuable knowledge and skills that prepare them for further education and future careers.
