Business Trainer & Coach

Location: Peterborough (Office-Based)

Role: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Through our industry-leading 12-month academy, we equip clients with the tools, systems, and strategies needed to grow and scale with confidence.

We are now seeking a Business Trainer & Coach with strong financial acumen and exceptional public speaking skills to play a key role in delivering our live training events, a pivotal first step in each client's journey with us.

About the Role

This is a high-impact, front-facing position where you will:

  • Deliver engaging Discovery Days, helping trades business owners understand their current position and what's possible for their future
  • Provide practical financial guidance, supporting business owners with forecasting, budgeting, and profit planning
  • Inspire and motivate attendees to take the next step in growing their business
  • Support clients with ongoing coaching and mentorship, ensuring they implement key strategies successfully

Live Training Event Delivery (Core Focus)

  • Lead dynamic, engaging Discovery Day sessions, in-person
  • Break down financial concepts into clear, practical insights tailored for tradespeople
  • Help participants identify key gaps in their business, particularly around profitability, cash flow, and planning
  • Guide attendees through financial forecasting exercises and business growth opportunities
  • Create a high-energy, inspiring environment that encourages action and commitment

Coaching & Financial Mentorship

  • Provide one-to-one and group coaching with a focus on financial performance and accountability
  • Support clients in building robust financial plans, including:
    • Revenue forecasting
    • Cost control
    • Profit optimisation
  • Help clients confidently understand their numbers and make better business decisions

Training & Programme Development

  • Contribute to improving our academy curriculum, particularly in financial education and business fundamentals
  • Develop practical, real-world training materials relevant to trades-based businesses
  • Deliver engaging sessions using a variety of training styles

Public Speaking & Representation

  • Represent Trade Mastermind at events, workshops, and industry functions
  • Deliver compelling presentations on business growth and financial mastery within the trades sector

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Track participant progress and provide actionable feedback
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and financial best practices
  • Continuously refine delivery to improve client outcomes

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in business management, ideally within trades, construction, or SMEs
  • Strong understanding of financials including forecasting, budgeting, profit & loss, and cash flow
  • Experience in training, coaching, or facilitating workshops
  • Confident public speaker, able to engage and inspire groups
  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for non-financial audiences
  • Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable
  • Passion for helping business owners succeed
