Business Unit General Manager
Purpose of the Position
The key function of this role is to provide administrative support to the Business Unit, managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling general office tasks such as data entry, record-keeping, and financial administration.
The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for both internal and external inquiries, assisting with tasks such as raising invoices, processing purchase orders, and supporting project delivery.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide general administrative support to the Business Unit and its Leadership Team
- Act as the first point of contact for internal and external queries
- Organise and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes
- Manage office and Business Unit resources, including facilities
- Liaise with various teams to support project delivery and issue resolution
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate financial records, including raising invoices and managing purchase orders
- Assist in coordinating training courses

Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of *five GCSEs (A-C or equivalent)**, including Maths and English
- Essential proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with accounting and payroll software (e.g., Sage)
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure, thrive as a team player, and maintain high self-motivation
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to adapt quickly to new skills and tasks
- Flexibility to work additional hours as required
