Business Unit Director – Hard FM

£150,000 Basic Salary + Executive Bonus Package

📍 London | Hybrid Leadership Role

FM Talent Partners are exclusively partnering with a leading UK Hard Facilities Management organisation to appoint a high-calibre Business Unit Director to lead and grow a significant division within the business.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced FM leader to take full ownership of a major business unit, driving operational excellence, commercial performance, client relationships, and future growth.

The organisation has an excellent reputation within the UK FM market and is looking for a strategic and commercially minded leader who can operate at board level while remaining close to customers, teams, and delivery.

The Opportunity

As Business Unit Director, you will have full responsibility for the performance and growth of a significant Hard FM division.

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team
  • Manage complex client relationships
  • Improve operational performance
  • Identify opportunities for expansion across key accounts and markets

This role will suit an ambitious FM executive who is ready to take ownership of a major P&L and play a key role in the company’s long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full P&L ownership for a significant Hard FM business unit
  • Develop and deliver commercial growth strategies
  • Lead operational teams across engineering, maintenance, and technical services
  • Build trusted relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Drive improvements in service delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth and contract expansion
  • Lead mobilisation of new contracts and strategic initiatives
  • Develop, mentor and inspire senior leadership teams
  • Work closely with the executive board on business strategy

You will ideally have experience in:

  • Engineering & Maintenance Operations
  • Large Complex Contracts
  • P&L Leadership
  • Multi-site Service Delivery
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Commercial Growth

You will be a confident senior leader who can influence at board level, build high-performing teams, and deliver sustainable business growth.
