We have exciting opportunities for Butchers to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe - Corsham site. Successful candidates will be required to work in our Butchery Department. You will be working in our Butchery Department as part of a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Job Purpose
To prepare, cut, trim, debone and process meat products safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and customer requirements. The Butcher Operative plays a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved and products meet company and regulatory standards.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday
6:00 am to 2:30 pm
Pay
- Competitive hourly rate £15.00 (per hour)
- Plus £1 bonus (per hour)
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and approachable attitude
- Ensure products meet quality and yield standards
- Follow food safety practices and prevent contamination
- Work across different areas of the department
- Take part in training and follow site procedures (SOPs & SSOW)
- Support team with flexible, positive approach
- Report any quality or food safety concerns promptly

Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a food production environment is desirable
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and a recognised qualification / certificate of competence in butchery / meat processing (e.g. NVQ)
- Knife skills for skilled roles, or willingness to learn for trainee roles
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative whilst working as part of a team, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
