We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Butcher Counter Assistant to join the team in our Farm Shop in Houghton Hall Garden Centre.
Our competitive rate of pay ranges from £10.40 to £12.75 per Hour dependent on age.
The hours for this role are 42 per week over 5 days. This will involve weekend work so flexibility is a must.
The Role
As a Butcher Assistant you will work as part of the Butchery Team. You’ll be passionate about quality and freshness and sharing your knowledge with our customers to help them make their own fabulous meals.

What you will be doing as a Butcher Counter Assistant?
- Setting up counters displays.
- Packing and Labelling meat cuts for display fridges.
- Serving customer, advising and making recommendations.
- Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste.
- Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
- Close down butcher prep and counter area each day including preparation for the following day.
