Market Street Butcher – Fresh Butchers Job Opportunity

Do You Have What It Takes?

Are you a trained butcher with butchery skills honed either behind the butcher counter or in a professional kitchen?

Do you have a naturally helpful and friendly style, enjoy meeting new people, and always go above and beyond for customers?

If you can bone, cut, prepare, and flavour different meats to an impressive standard, we’d love to "meat" you—and we’re serious about passionate, skilled Foodmakers just like you.

Your Role as a Market Street Butcher

As the face of our fresh butchers counter, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring customer confidence in the availability and quality of fresh meat cuts and pre-packaged meat products.
  • Maintaining high standards in freshness, quality, and presentation of meat displays throughout the trading day to drive sales and efficiency.
  • Preparing meat primals for sale, adhering to company specifications, including:
    • Cutting, steaking, dicing, mincing, boning, flavouring
    • Using specialist equipment (knives, saws, mallets, mincing machines)
    • Packaging and labelling
  • Producing custom meat cuts tailored to in-store and online customer requirements, including:
    • Families’ needs
    • Individual flavour profiles and presentation requests
    • A variety of primals (e.g. lamb, beef, poultry, pork)
  • Delivering outstanding customer service, providing helpful, friendly, and personalised recommendations while demonstrating our traditional butchery expertise.

You’ll be the difference between just a purchase and a memorable customer experience, turning a trip to the store into something special.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
