Summary
Are you a skilled butcher who takes pride in quality cuts and great customer service? Join a professional, customer-focused butchery team where your craft is valued.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced butcher to join a team that cares about quality. You'll prepare products to customer and company specification, deliver knowledgeable service, and play a key part in the day-to-day running of a busy butchery counter.
Pay rate: £13.15 per hour
Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a range of cuts to customer and company specification
- Greet and serve customers, sharing product knowledge to help them get the most from their purchase
- Prepare and maintain the counter and pre-pack areas to the highest hygiene standards
- Carry out stock rotation and product sampling
- Receive deliveries and complete the required paperwork
- Distribute special offer materials and support general store operations
- Provide cover and support for the store manager when required

The Ideal Candidate
- Hands-on experience in a retail butchery environment is essential
- A track record of excellent customer service and a drive to meet sales targets
- Sound knowledge of legal requirements and procedures relevant to butchery
- Experience supporting and training new team members
- Confident acting up in a supervisory capacity when required
- Flexible, deadline-focused and able to perform well under pressure
- A strong communicator who can work independently
