We are actively seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies - Dunbia UK, part of the Dawn Group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team, who have a desire to produce better food naturally.
We are looking for individuals with a passion for food production and a commitment to upholding food safety standards. Previous butchery experience for these roles is required.
Full time and part time hours are available.
Full time is 40 hours per week, and shifts operate from Monday to Friday 3.15pm to 11.45pm

Responsibilities
- Use of knives or other equipment in a safe manner, to perform beef cutting and trimming.
- Confidently cutting products within weight and thickness parameters, achieving or exceeding the yield, giveaway and quality targets, ensuring that throughputs are maximised.
- The correct use and storage of issued Personal Protective Equipment (including chainmail and knives etc.)
- Advising production management on issues with raw material quality and/or specification.
- Building positive relationships with colleagues, Team Leaders and Managers.
- Full compliance and strict adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety, Quality and Food Safety standards laid out in departmental and site policies and procedures.
- Ensuring full understanding and compliance with Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
- Working in a chilled environment

Qualifications
- Previous Butchery/Meat Trimming experience in a fast paced environment
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of traditional cuts, with the ability to operate butchery equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance in all aspects of food handling
- Be able to follow instructions and procedures
- Be safety conscious
- Reliable, hardworking, and a good team player, as well as having the ability to work on your own initiative
- Flexible approach to work, with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Be willing to gain new skills and experience
- Full training and career progression will be provided.
