Experienced Butcher – Join Our Skilled, Customer-Focused Team
Summary
Are you an experienced butcher ready to take the next step? Join a skilled, customer-focused team where your craft and leadership make a real difference.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced butcher to ensure all butchery work meets the required standards of quality, value, and hygiene.
You will:
- Deliver excellent customer engagement
- Support colleagues and management
- Help your team develop knowledge, skills, and confidence to achieve targets
Pay rate: £13.15 per hour
Your Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain a premium butchery service with utmost expertise:
- Prepare a range of cuts to customer and company specification
- Provide hands-on advice and training to colleagues on butchery activities
- Greet and serve customers, sharing product knowledge and helping them get the most from their purchase
- Prepare and maintain counters and pre-pack areas to the highest hygiene standards
- Carry out stock rotation, price reductions, and product sampling
- Receive deliveries and complete the required paperwork
- Distribute special offer materials
- Support the management team in the day-to-day running of the store

The Ideal Candidate
- Proven butchery skills gained in a retail or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety and legal requirements
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring others in butchery or food production is an advantage
- Customer service skills with a drive to achieve sales targets
- A natural motivator who can guide and support a team on a daily basis
- IT-savvy with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
