We are looking for a Buyer to independently manage defined supplier packages, delivering cost, delivery and performance in line with customer and programme expectations. This role balances commercial judgement, governance and delivery discipline in a structured programme environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage assigned sourcing and supply management packages within OEM programmes.
- Communicate directly with suppliers on pricing, lead times, capacity and delivery commitments.
- Track parts and assemblies through to receipt, resolving delays or issues proactively.
- Ensure components meet specification, documentation and quality expectations.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data including price, lead time, tooling, MOQ and commitments.
- Resolve invoice queries by reconciling PO, delivery and supplier documentation.
- Apply sound judgement when balancing cost, delivery and programme risk.
- Track components through the full lifecycle from sourcing to build and programme close.

Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or possess a technical qualification or equivalent standard. You will have experience in a purchasing role within automotive, manufacturing and Tier-1 environments, and be comfortable working to customer and programme requirements. You will have experience using ERP or purchasing systems, and be structured and organised, able to operate in a process-controlled manner at pace.
