Vacancy within Purchasing Department
We have a vacancy within our Purchasing Department and currently recruiting for the role of Buyer. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience, seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.
Shift Pattern: 39 hours each week, 07:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday, and 07:30 - 12:30 on a Friday, with designated breaks

Role Accountabilities
- Responsible for the effective day to day management of your designated suppliers.
- Manage supplier performance through agreed QCD targets ensuring the SIOP plan is achieved and supply chain risks are actively managed.
- Lead monthly order book reviews with designated suppliers to identify performance improvements, capture supplier risks and associated mitigation plans and firm order book in line with the SIOP plan.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to the terms of their contract or purchase order and execute contractual terms where applicable.
- Work with suppliers to identify and deliver cost reduction opportunities in line with budget requirements.
- Reduce Accrofab’s commercial exposure through contracting with key strategic suppliers and leveraging economies of scale for best cost and improved supplier performance.
- Support the development and deployment of category / supplier strategies. Work collaboratively as part of a cross functional team to ensure that strategies meet the needs of current and future business needs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and maintain competitive advantage for the business.
- Lead the project management of key purchasing projects where designated, in accordance with business objectives and budget requirements.
- Manage inventory levels where applicable, to an optimum level to ensure business continuity whilst maximising working capital.
- Nurture effective relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external in order to support functional priorities.
- Ensure internal systems are kept up to date with supplier inputs (lead times, pricing, delivery dates etc) in accordance with internal measures.
- Accountable for compliance to company policies, processes and procedures, ensuring all purchasing records are correct and maintained in line with regulatory requirements.

- CIPS qualified or working towards
- Previous experience of ERP experience is desirable
- Build and maintain good working relationships
- Be detail orientated and maintain process adherence by applying a right-first-time mentality
- Communicate effectively
- Be reliable and dedicated
- Manage workload and be organised - prioritising where necessary
