Buyer - Sheffield / Hybrid - £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be supporting a global manufacturer in Sheffield that is looking to recruit a Buyer to join their procurement function.
This role will suit an experienced procurement professional who is confident working within an MRP-driven purchasing environment and comfortable managing supplier relationships day to day.
Working Hours / Benefits
- 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 1pm on Fridays
- Hybrid working
- CIPS study support, including access to an on-site trainer
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Buyer Duties
- Raising, managing and expediting purchase orders for materials, components, consumables and services in line with MRP demand
- Working directly with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, reliable delivery performance and appropriate commercial terms
- Monitoring open purchase orders, chasing acknowledgements and resolving delivery risks before they affect production
- Maintaining accurate supplier, purchasing and item data within the ERP and MRP systems
- Supporting supplier onboarding, approval and performance monitoring, including OTIF and quality tracking
- Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality and Customer Services to resolve supplier, invoice and specification queries

- Previous experience in a Procurement role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong working knowledge of MRP or ERP systems
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels
- Competent Excel skills
