Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Working Pattern: Office Based
We are looking for a Buyer to join our Procurement team in St Ives. This is a great opportunity for someone with procurement experience, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach to supplier and purchasing management.
As a Buyer, you will support the ongoing centralisation and consolidation of third-party spend across the business. You will manage both planned and reactive requirements across a range of spend categories, helping to ensure the timely delivery of best value goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, cost, purchase, and contract third-party goods and services
- Manage supplier relationships, including identifying new suppliers where appropriate
- Support planned and reactive procurement requirements across the business
- Gather and collate information relating to spend category requirements
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and tender responses
- Raise purchase orders and draft service contracts
- Reconcile supplier invoices
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure and expedite timely deliveries
- Work closely with internal teams including Projects, Operations, Technical Services, and Finance

About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment. You will ideally have experience in procurement or purchasing, along with the confidence to work with suppliers and internal stakeholders across different areas of the business.
Ideally, You Will Have
- Knowledge of general procurement processes and systems
- Experience of supplier management and spend category management
- Strong data handling, analysis, and presentation skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- The ability to organise information clearly and support tender or quotation processes
