Our client, a leading manufacturer of precision components for the aerospace and power generation industries, is looking for a Buyer to join their growing Purchasing team. With a strong order book, excellent long-term job security and genuine progression opportunities into Technical Buying, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business.

Job Description
- Manage the procurement of materials and services to support production requirements
- Raise purchase orders and monitor supplier performance
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial agreements
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability
- Analyse purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Work closely with Production, Planning and Engineering teams
- Ensure supplier information, pricing and lead times are accurately maintained within the ERP system
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Previous buying or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
- Proactive, organised and able to prioritise workload effectively
