The Role: Your Mission at CMbE

We are seeking a self-motivated Buyer for an 18-month Fixed Term Contract based in Shipley.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Negotiation & Order Management:
    • Negotiate prices with suppliers and place purchase orders
    • Ensure suppliers meet schedule reporting and delivery promises
    • Communicate delivery commitments to project and engineering teams

  • Commercial & Compliance Checks:

    • Conduct thorough commercial checks of payment terms, delivery terms, and Terms and Conditions
    • Align supplier and client contract terms to prevent disputes
  • Independent & Collaborative Work:

    • Work independently but also as part of a team
    • Resolve PO queries and invoice mismatches with strong problem-solving skills
    • Liaise with business units to improve delivery performance
  • System & Data Management:

    • Maintain and update MRP systems with accurate supplier information

Requirements

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • CIPS Level 4 (or working towards it)
  • Strong understanding of purchasing best practices

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in a commercial engineering environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with a positive approach to change
  • Experience with supplier relationship management
  • Knowledge of ** führungs- and purchasing systems**
