About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Buyer/ Junior Buyer to join our growing commercial team at CN Foods. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role for someone who enjoys building ranges, launching new brands and taking real ownership of supplier performance.
Reporting directly to the Head of Buying, this role offers high ownership and visibility across the business. You will take full ownership of a portfolio of food and drink brands, building strong supplier partnerships, driving commercial growth, and delivering successful brand launches that create long-term value for both our business and our suppliers.
This role includes a structured performance-related bonus scheme tied to commercial income, brand success and key KPIs.

About us
CN Foods is a fast-growing premium food and drink distributor supplying independent retailers, convenience stores and specialist food businesses across London and the UK.
We focus on ambient and chilled categories, working with premium grocery, functional and health-led brands, world foods, quality snacks, soft drinks, wine and speciality products.
We partner with over 400 suppliers and manage thousands of SKUs across multiple categories.
What You'll be doing
- Launching a minimum of 2 new brands per month and owning the process end-to-end
- Managing supplier relationships, negotiations and ongoing performance
- Building and maintaining commercially strong ranges with the right margins and pricing
- Leading post-launch reviews and regular supplier performance meetings
- Driving promotional activity, marketing support and sales incentives
- Generating measurable commercial income through rebates, rep deals and marketing contributions
- Monitoring sales, stock levels and slow-moving lines to reduce risk
- Working closely with sales, supply chain and operations teams

What We are looking for
- At least 3 years buying experience in FMCG
- Strong knowledge and genuine interest in food and drink
- Confident negotiator with a commercial mindset
- Comfortable working to clear KPIs and financial targets
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Good Excel skills and experience using buying or ERP systems
