ACR are currently working alongside a privately owned property developer and main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments. Established four years ago, they have experienced steady growth and specialise in traditional build projects ranging from bespoke luxury homes to developments of 15–20 units.

As the business continues to expand, they are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Buyer to join their team, also open to ambitious Assistants that are looking to take the next step up in their career. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in a growing company, where their input will directly contribute to the success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure materials, plant and subcontract packages for multiple residential construction projects.
- Obtain competitive quotations and negotiate the best commercial terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and new suppliers.
- Ensure materials are ordered accurately and delivered on time to meet construction programmes.
- Work closely with the Construction, Commercial and Technical teams to understand project requirements and procurement schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance, quality and lead times.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or programme.
- Assist with budget management and ensure procurement aligns with project cost plans.
- Keep accurate procurement records, purchase orders and supplier documentation.
- Resolve supply chain issues quickly to minimise delays on site.
- Stay up to date with market trends, material availability and pricing.
- Support the continuous improvement of procurement processes as the business grows.

- Previous buying or procurement experience within construction.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commercially aware with good attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and procurement or accounting software.
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a growing business.
