The Role

As a Buyer on Accs, you will play a vital part in shaping our product range and ensuring we offer the right mix to delight our customers. You will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and maintaining strong supplier relationships to deliver quality product, competitive pricing and optimal stock levels. You’ll work closely with merchandising, stores and planning teams to make commercial decisions that drive sales and margin.

You’ll DEFY ORDINARY by bringing commercial insight, creativity and a customer-first mindset to buying decisions. From trend analysis to negotiation and range planning, you will help create an outstanding shopping experience across our stores and online channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute buying plans in line with business strategy, seasonal calendars and sales targets.
  • Source and select products that meet quality, price and brand standards.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing and contracts with suppliers to secure the best commercial outcomes.
  • Manage purchase orders, lead times and stock allocations to ensure availability while controlling stock levels and markdown risk.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, planning and store teams to shape ranges and promotions.
  • Analyse sales, margin and inventory data to inform buying decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor market and trend developments to keep our ranges fresh and relevant.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure compliance with ethical and quality standards.
  • Support product launches, seasonal replenishment and promotional activity to meet commercial plans.

About you

You will be commercially minded, organised and confident working with data and suppliers. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and negotiation skills, a passion for product and trends, and the ability to make clear, considered decisions in a fast-paced retail environment. Previous buying or merchandising experience is desirable, but ambition, a proactive attitude and a collaborative approach are equally important.
