Buyer / Supply Chain Specialist - Aviation Technology Programme

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buyer / Supply Chain Specialist to join a major airline at London Heathrow, supporting the delivery of a pioneering connectivity programme that is set to transform the passenger experience and redefine how airlines stay connected globally.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of materials, equipment and services required for a major aviation technology programme.
- Work closely with engineering, project, operational and supplier teams to ensure timely delivery of critical components.
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with procurement policies and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times and delivery schedules.
- Support supplier negotiations to achieve best value, quality and service levels.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that may impact programme milestones.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and support planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with aviation, quality and regulatory requirements.

About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a Buyer, Procurement, Supply Chain or Purchasing role
- Strong supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience managing purchase orders, sourcing activities and supply chain operations
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, project-focused environment
- Experience within aviation, engineering, manufacturing or technology sectors would be highly desirable
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Must have the existing right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available for this position
