About the Role
We are seeking a Buyer to independently manage defined supplier packages, ensuring cost savings, on-time delivery, and performance alignment with customer and programme expectations. This role requires balancing commercial expertise, governance, and delivery discipline in a fast-paced, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage assigned sourcing and supply management packages within OEM programmes.
- Engage directly with suppliers to: -Negotiate pricing, lead times, capacity, and delivery commitments.
- Monitor components from sourcing to receipt, proactively addressing delays or issues.
- Ensure all components meet specification, documentation, and quality standards.
- Track and maintain accurate purchasing data (prices, lead times, tooling, minimum order quantities (MOQ), commitments).
- Resolve invoice discrepancies by reconciling purchase orders (PO), deliveries, and supplier documentation.
- Apply discretion in balancing cost, delivery timelines, and programme risk.
- Oversee components throughout the full lifecycle (sourcing to build, and programme closure).

Requirements
- Degree-level education or a technical qualification, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing roles within automotive, manufacturing, or Tier-1 environments.
- Hands-on experience working to customer and programme requirements.
- Familiarity with ERP/purchasing systems.
- Abilities:
- Highly structured and organised.
- Capable of working efficiently within a process-controlled and fast-paced setting.
- Strong commercial judgement and problem-solving skills.
