About the Role

Alchem Partners are excited to be engaged as the search partner to a global manufacturing business, who support a number of industries all over the world. An innovative business, taking pride in their technical dedication and customer focus with sites globally.

Our client seeks to recruit an experienced Buyer who can support the operations function ensuring availability of materials, services and a smooth PO process across the facility. You will be responsible for reviewing and securing new suppliers ensuring efficiency, availability and cost effectiveness for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Review and secure new suppliers ensuring efficiency, availability and cost effectiveness for the business.
  • Work closely with the production teams and planners to ensure availability of materials.
  • Review and improve the internal ordering processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience within a buying role, within a manufacturing background.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to suppliers as and when required.
  • CIPS or similar qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
  • SAP, Microsoft Office and any other system experience would be beneficial.
