Buyer – Rotherham / Hybrid
Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business in Rotherham who are looking to recruit a Buyer to join their Purchasing team.
As a Buyer, you will play a key role in procuring goods, equipment and materials in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner whilst maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
The business offers fantastic flexibility for work/life balance and fantastic development opportunities with CIPS study support!
Hours of work / Benefits
- 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday with a 1pm finish every Friday!
- Flexible hybrid working (work from home 2 days per week)

The Role
- Developing and implementing effective sourcing and commodity strategies
- Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers through RFQs, benchmarking and capability assessments
- Negotiating competitive pricing, commercial terms and long-term supply agreements
- Managing purchasing activity to ensure uninterrupted production, including analysing MRP demand and maintaining accurate MRP data
- Leading supplier performance reviews and implementing corrective actions where required
- Managing inbound supply, reschedules, expedites and order cancellations to minimise risk to the business

The Person
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good systems experience
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to build strong supplier relationships
