At JoJo we’re on the lookout for a Buying Admin Assistant to join our Buying Team. If you’re ready to begin a fabulous adventure and you’re passionate about helping to ensure the smooth-running process of purchasing and producing own brand clothing, we have the perfect role for you.

You will assist the Essentials buying team to help ensure the smooth-running process of purchasing and producing our ranges. On the Essentials team, our categories include outerwear, footwear, swimwear and sleepwear amongst others. Working closely with the other members of the buying and wider design and production team this role helps ensure goods are developed and then produced to schedule, to target costings and to the quality standard expected.

A peek into your daily adventures:

Systems, Supply, and Delivery:

  • Assisting in maintaining information flows & ensuring critical dates are achieved, the data is accurate on the system, including PO delivery & dates.
  • Under the guidance of the Assistant Buyer helping gather and track information from new and existing suppliers and setting up new styles & vendors on the system.
  • Assisting the Buyer and Assistant Buyer in sending out top line order to vendors as well as raise purchase orders & distributing them to the vendors.
  • Under the guidance of the Assistant buyer, you will liaise with the vendors regarding their Critical Paths and key dates, as well as with internal stakeholders on item statuses.

Range Planning & Samples:

  • Organising samples for reviews as well as assisting the team in sending and logging samples and submissions on the critical path.
  • Under the guidance of the Assistant Buyer you'll collate seasonal & weekly comp shops, as required and present the comp shops to the wider team when required.
  • Supporting the Assistant Buyer to produce key team visual and data led information such as sales and selections and helping maintain key product information files.

Communication & Web:

  • Requesting & chasing photo and wholesale samples
  • Supporting the team in preparing & packing samples for photoshoot
  • Ensuring NEXT have the correct information to launch new lines on the web.
  • Proofing of data & website as necessary

Team Collaboration:

  • Managing own tasks and speaking up when completed or if unable to complete.
  • General administrative support to the wider Buying Team.
  • General office duties such as taking messages and forwarding calls, accepting parcels and couriers.

Skills that make you shine:

  • Experience in Buying (required)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Exemplary verbal and written English
  • Computer Skills: Ability to learn in-house programs, database experience and strong Excel skills. (Experience with Microsoft Navision an advantage.)
  • Highly organised, numerical and efficient, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to be an efficient, multi-tasking and reliable team player who can be responsible for their own priorities and workload.
