Assessment Centre Dates
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre on 15th July 2026, 10:00am – 2:00pm at our Manchester Head Office: Griffin House, 40 Lever St, Manchester M60 6ES.
The day will include:
- An introduction to N Brown
- The chance to meet members of our buying team and learn about their careers
- A group exercise and interview
Further details will be shared directly with shortlisted candidates.
The Role
The Buyer’s Admin Assistant role reports to a Buyer/Senior Buyer, working collaboratively to deliver the best customer-focused ranges while managing:
- Administrative support for a specific category
- Ensuring systems remain up to date
- Delivering a profitable, customer-centric range

- Maintaining and updating commercial plans (CP)
- Communicating with suppliers to meet deadlines and mitigate delivery risks
- Holding supplier CP calls to build relationships
- Setting up new styles in internal systems
- Assisting the Assistant Buyer and wider team with administrative duties
- Managing samples for shoots (organisation and preparation)
- Conducting online competitive shopping to monitor the market
- Supporting team meetings (monthly reviews and sign-offs)
- Preparing for fit sessions
Tasks can also include ad-hoc requests based on team needs.
Skills & Experience Needed
Ideal candidates will:
- Work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a strong team ethos, collaborating effectively while managing workloads
- Have exceptional organisation and time-keeping skills
- Excel in communication (with teams, peers, and suppliers)
- Show strong commercial awareness
- Be PC & Excel-literate
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail
- Possess a passion for clothing
