Role Description

This full-time, on-site C# Developer role is based in Huddersfield and focuses on building and maintaining core components of Mentor Business Systems’ software solutions, including the CASH platform. The developer will write clean, efficient, and testable C# code, implement back-end functionality, and contribute to software design and architecture. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving defects, optimizing performance, and collaborating with product and support teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The role also involves participating in code reviews, maintaining documentation, and ensuring best practices in security, scalability, and reliability are consistently applied.

  • Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Software Development and Programming in C#, preferably within commercial or enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side logic.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical application in C#.
  • Experience with.NET or.NET Core frameworks and relevant development tools (e.g., Visual Studio, source control systems).
  • Ability to analyze requirements, design solutions, and produce clear technical documentation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional team on-site.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in building business management or field service software solutions is an advantage.
