C# .NET Developer / Full Stack Developer | £660 inside IR35 | Energy Trading | Greenfield Modernisation
A leading energy trading firm, currently undergoing a significant technology platform rebuild following exceptional business growth, is looking to hire multiple C#.NET Developers to join their engineering team.
This is an opportunity to help modernise several business-critical trading applications, including Settlements, Trade Capture and Trade Operations systems, as the business moves away from legacy technology towards a modern .NET Core architecture.
As a C# .NET Developer, you'll work on rebuilding core platforms used daily across the trading business, developing scalable backend services and modern web applications that will underpin the next generation of energy trading operations.
Working alongside experienced engineers and business stakeholders, you'll contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, helping deliver high-quality software using modern Agile engineering practices.

The successful C#.NET Developer will work on greenfield development projects using.NET Core 8+, C#, Angular, Event-Driven Architecture and Distributed Systems, helping the business deliver faster, more scalable and future-proof trading applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for developers looking to break into Energy Trading, as previous commodities or trading experience is not required.
💰 Paying up to £660/day (Inside IR35)
🗺️ Hybrid working – 3 days per week, London
📆 Rolling contract (extensions expected)
🚀 Start date: ASAP

Key responsibilities:
- Strong C# and.NET Core development experience
- Experience building scalable backend services and APIs
- Full software development lifecycle experience
- Experience working with modern engineering practices and Agile delivery
- Experience building distributed or event-driven applications
- Strong problem-solving and software design skills
- For the Full Stack role, experience with Angular is required
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams
- Previous experience within Energy Trading is not required
- Experience within Financial Services or other complex enterprise environments would be beneficial
