C++ Software Infrastructure Engineer (Contract)
Location: London (Hybrid - 1 day per week) or Germany (Hybrid - 1 day per week)
Contract: Initial 6 months
Our customer is currently looking for a Senior C++ Software Infrastructure Engineer to build core storage infrastructure to manage calibration data across vehicle compute platforms. You'll be responsible for designing and developing a production-grade C++ library that provides reliable storage, access and management of critical data.
What you'll be doing:
- Design and develop a robust C++ library for calibration data storage and retrieval.
- Build clean, scalable APIs used across multiple software systems.
- Work with persistent storage, file systems and platform-level interfaces.
- Integrate with existing calibration, robotics and platform software.
- Write efficient, maintainable and production-ready C++ code.
- Support testing and validation across different compute environments and platforms.
- Collaborate closely with platform and robotics engineering teams.

What we're looking for:
- Strong commercial experience with modern C++.
- Strong experience with Linux.
- Experience building software libraries, APIs, middleware or infrastructure components.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with storage systems, persistence layers, file systems or low-level software interfaces.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
