Cable Package Manager
Offshore Wind Project
Location: Swindon (with agreed travel to site/other offices)
Contract: Outside IR35
Duration: 12-month assignment extension expected
We are recruiting for a contract Cable Package Manager to support the successful delivery of the Cable Package across a major offshore wind development. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of cable package procurement, design, manufacture, installation and commissioning activities on a high profile renewable energy project.
You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of inter-array and export cable systems while coordinating multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Cable Package through procurement, design, manufacture, delivery and installation phases.
- Manage package engineering and project management activities.
- Review contractor documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practice.
- Coordinate interfaces between project packages, contractors and third parties.
- Manage Marine Warranty Surveyor reviews and installation approvals.
- Maintain package-specific risk registers, HAZIDs, CDM reviews and H&S activities.
- Coordinate client activities required for offshore installation works.
- Ensure pre-sail away documentation and readiness requirements are completed.
- Liaise with permitting, marine operations, commissioning, GIS, surveys and O&M teams.
- Capture and share lessons learned throughout project delivery.
- Deliver package reporting and technical documentation as required.

Essential Experience
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Significant experience within offshore wind cable projects
- Proven experience managing:
- Inter-array cable installation
- Export cable installation
- Offshore wind farm infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of:
- Cable installation techniques
- Vessel and offshore operations management
- Marine certification requirements
- Cable load-out operations
- Risk management and project interfaces
- Experience with:
- Marine Warranty Surveyors (MWS)
- Desktop studies
- Mock-up testing
- Grillage and sea fastening fabrication/installation
- Offshore client representative coordination
