Sub-contract sheet metal fabrication company that works with a variety of industries in fields such as electronics, security, transport, hydraulics and nuclear. We use the best in modern machinery to fabricate a vast array of sheet metal components. From simple single item brackets or chassis to complex electronic enclosures. As a CAD Engineer you will work within our planning & production department.
Scope
This is an excellent and progressive opportunity for an enthusiastic person to enhance their career to CAD CAM Engineer. Office based within a well-equipped, clean and modern sheet metal engineering environment. You will ultimately be responsible for the production and maintenance of sheet metal fabrication manufacturing drawings. We will provide training in our CAD/CAM software to enable CAM programming of our Lasers and Press Brakes.

Key Responsibilities
- Production of CAD sheet metal developments from customer drawings and import files.
- To provide technical support between machine operatives and contracts department.
- To create programs CAM for Laser & Folding machines using Bysoft and Radan software.
- To identify potential manufacturing issues to the Production Manager.
- To assist in the continuous improvement to our manufacturing processes at both job and system level.
- To generate technical drawings/diagrams to assist factory operatives.
Knowledge, skills and personal qualities required
Essential
- Have a strong eye for detail and to be able to work in an organised methodical manner.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret Mechanical/Sheet Metal drawings.
- Positive, motivated, confident, can-do attitude.
- An interest in CAD drawing and CAM processing.
- Computer literate.
- Mathematical dexterity.

Desirable
- Previous experience in Radan / Bysoft or other CAD CAM software.
- Previous experience in Sheet Metal processing / CNC Punching / Laser Cutting / CNC Press Brakes.
- Previous study of a Mechanical, Manufacturing or Design orientated subject.

Permanent, full time - Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 17:00, Friday 08:00 – 13:00
