Fabrications Designer / Estimator
Poole, Dorset
£37,000 - £40,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer and supplier within the construction industry, who are looking to add an experienced Fabrications Designer / Estimator to their team in Poole.
This is a great opportunity for someone with AutoCAD, SolidWorks and sheet metal experience who enjoys producing technical drawings, preparing estimates and working closely with customers and production teams.
The Role
You'll be responsible for creating accurate fabrication drawings, producing quotations and supporting projects from initial enquiry through to manufacture.

- Producing detailed drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Preparing accurate estimates and quotations from architectural and technical drawings
- Updating CRM systems and project records
- Speaking with customers, suppliers and surveyors throughout projects
- Obtaining supplier quotations where required
- Supporting the fabrication team with technical queries
- Managing new enquiries and ensuring they are dealt with efficiently
- Keeping up to date with products, industry standards and technical information
What We're Looking For
- Experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Background in sheet metal or mechanical fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret technical or architectural drawings
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
- Previous CRM experience
- Strong numerical skills
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Able to manage your own workload effectively
