Design Engineer – CAD Designer – 2D Technician – Onshore Plant Projects
I am currently looking for either graduate or intermediate CAD technicians/designers to join my client in Bristol, North Bristol. The role requires candidates who are able to review 2D design or 3D models with a 3D design software.
The client is interested in candidates with a background in design engineering, either practical experience in any engineering sector or theoretical engineer and design (2D or 3D) experience.
The client is based on the North side of Bristol supporting international energy projects. The client is currently looking for four designers.

START: ASAP
SALARY: £25,000 - £45,000 per annum + package
DURATION: Two Year Project HPC / Five Year Project Sizewell C (Work until 2030 Currently)
LOCATION: Bristol, North Bristol (Near M4/M5)
HYBRID: Office and home based working
The role does not require a degree qualified engineer, the client is happy to consider candidates coming from a mechanical/electrical install, design or engineering background, the only requirement is to be able to use 3D review/modelling tools and carry out 2D design. HNC/HND is acceptable.
Requirements:
- Mechanical, Structural, Piping or Electrical Design/Layout experience
- Background in engineering, construction or installation type projects most beneficial
- Experience using 2D or 3D design software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid works, AutoPlant, PDMS, E3D)
- Basic engineering experience, ability to review 2D designs or 3D models
- Understanding of engineering principles, projects and/or organisations.

The client is interested in designers who can pull data from a 3D model, review designs (2D), create data lists for package, prepare packages for site-based engineers and/or BOM (bill of materials).
