Role Description:
The CAD Draftsperson is a full-time, on-site role based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and models that support the design and delivery of wash plants and associated systems.
Day-to-day Tasks:
- Creating and updating detailed engineering and architectural drawings.
- Preparing layouts for modular and turnkey installations.
- Ensuring all designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
- Collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing and project management team members to translate design concepts into clear CAD drawings.
- Revising documentation based on feedback.
- Maintaining organised drawing records.
- Assisting in design reviews.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of drafting standards and templates.
- Supporting site teams with clear, build-ready documentation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare CAD layouts using AutoCAD, Sales GA layouts, civils layouts, flow diagrams, pipework layouts, stairs and access layouts.
- Capable of communicating with suppliers for information and layouts.
- Have an understanding of British Standards for stairs, walkways, access platforms, etc. (advantageous).
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
- Advantageous if any experience in 3D software.
- Work with the Engineering department and Proposals department.
- Working from an arrangement drawing or by measuring components, etc.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other members of staff to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness of design.
- Ensure drawings are reviewed and revised as necessary. Keep all documentation up-to-date.
- Able to use Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
- Previous experience of working in a CAD/Mechanical environment and proposals department advantageous.

Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
Essential Skills:
- Problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and 'people skills.'
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Good IT and report writing skills.
- Strong team player.
Requirements:
- A full driving licence.
- Valid UK Passport.
Benefits:

- £25,000 – £30,000 Competitive salary depending on experience.
