We are looking for a talented and motivated CAD Technician to join a growing multidisciplinary team, supporting the delivery of exciting water and infrastructure projects across the UK.

The Role
As a CAD Technician, you'll support the production of high-quality engineering drawings and models throughout all stages of project delivery. Working closely with Design Engineers and Senior CAD Technicians, you'll help produce accurate, coordinated design information that meets client requirements and industry standards.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Producing accurate engineering drawings and models using CAD software.
- Supporting the preparation, revision and coordination of design drawings throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensuring all drawings comply with company CAD standards, industry best practice and client specifications.
- Using standard details, templates and design information to prepare engineering drawings efficiently and accurately.
- Working within established quality procedures and design processes.
- Managing your workload to meet project deadlines while accurately recording time spent on tasks.
- Using ProjectWise and other document management systems to manage project information.
- Updating drawings following design reviews and incorporating technical feedback from the wider design team.
- Supporting engineers and senior technicians with a variety of design and project-related activities.
- Continuously developing your technical knowledge through mentoring, training and practical project experience.

About You
We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for engineering design who enjoys learning, solving problems and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Requirements
- 2–3 years' experience using CAD software within an engineering environment.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and drafting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative design team.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- HNC in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience within the water, utilities, rail or wider infrastructure sectors through employment, apprenticeships or placements.
- Knowledge of engineering drawing standards and CAD best practice.
- Experience using ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
- Exposure to Civil 3D, Revit or other 3D modelling software.
