CAD Technician (Electrical) – Permanent Position
Asset Management Business Platform – Water Industry

Our in-house design team is seeking an experienced CAD Technician (Electrical) to join our Asset Management business platform on a permanent basis. You’ll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, receive guidance, and tackle complex projects within the water sector.
Key Duties
- Produce accurate electrical CAD drawings, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Create and maintain cable schedules and termination diagrams
- Develop and update electrical design documentation aligned with project requirements and regulatory standards
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, site modifications, and as-built information
- Conduct drawing checks and quality reviews to ensure technical accuracy and consistency
- Support the continuous improvement of CAD standards, templates, and engineering processes
Requirements
- Essential:
- Experience in a similar CAD Technician (Electrical) role with a proven knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows
- Qualified to HNC, HND, or Degree level in a relevant engineering discipline (advantageous)
- Proficiency in 3D modelling and experience translating designs into accurate BIM models
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and proven implementation
- Ability to maintain quality focus while working efficiently in a multi-disciplinary team
- UK Driving Licence
