Help Shape the UK’s Energy Future
CAD Technician Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Marine and Tunnels Section.
What will you do?
The Sizewell C (SZC) project requires a CAD Technician for production of engineering drawings and associated schedules. The role includes data collection through records (supporting production of take-off and material schedules) alongside other CAD Technicians and Engineers. The successful candidate shall interface internally with operations teams of all levels, health and safety team and the commercial team. Occasional liaison and working alongside subcontractors and the client and its representatives should be expected. The successful candidate shall help develop and define the way we will work to deliver digital information on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, embedding any specific standards, methods and/or procedures required by the client.

- Able to produce detailed documentation for handover of completed works

- Able to take off and schedule material quantities accurately
Commercial
- Knowledge of specification and contract documents
- Understands what constitutes additional works

Qualifications & Experience
- Leadership skills emerging.
- Targeting progression of professional accreditation (e.g. ICE, IHT)
