Anthro Joint Venture - HS2 Gateway Station

The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London’s state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.

BIM Modeller

The BIM Modeller plays a critical role within the Engineering Directorate, focusing on the production and coordination of high-quality 3D CAD models with embedded data and ensuring their alignment with project standards and the BIM Execution Plan.

Job Description

As a CAD Technician, you will take the role in the implementation of Digital deliverables, ensuring all outputs are produced to a high standard in accordance with project requirements.

As a CAD Technician, you will be an integral member of the team as it grows. You will be required to support the engineering teams in current commissions which may be 2D, 3D, or BIM Level 2. We are looking for someone who will take this challenge head on, be part of a dynamic team with big ambitions. We will be looking to provide capabilities across light, heavy, and metro rail systems and work alongside developing signalling and track teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting in developing engineering designs using best practice details and bespoke solutions
• Contributing to the CAD best practice library
• Providing BIM Level 2 support from creation of documentation, to validation, and As Built Close Out
• Managing 3D CAD models, Contributing in your specialized discipline
• Assist in the delivery and management of projects from technical design to construction stage to ensure compliance and delivered to project standards
• Responsible for implementing best practice and consistent processes across the project, this includes liaising with project stakeholders and the supply chain to ensure the correct standards are applied
• Responsible for quality processes and quality standards of all drawing deliverables
• Utilise Bentley ProjectWise with OpenBuilding Designer and MicroStation for detailed drawing creation and documentation, ensuring the information is fully coordinated
• Liaise with discipline task teams leads to ensure output is fully coordinated
• Lead the production of high-quality design and detailed construction drawings for specific elements of railway station projects, ensuring integration with overall project information models
• Produce drawing output from 3D model information in line with the Component Catalogue and outline information within the BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
• Ensure all drawings are submitted, meet the project requirements set out
• Support and liaise with the BIM Coordinator, BIM Manager, and wider project joint venture team in the implementation of deliverables adhering to specified project standards and to facilitate issue resolution
• Ensuring accurate and timely information flow and adherence to data management standards
• Participate in quality assurance checks to ensure they meet the project's accuracy, detail, and the employer's information requirements
• Assist in monitoring compliance with the BEP and the supporting project standards, contributing to regular reports on BIM deliverable status
• Work closely with other disciplines to ensure the 3D CAD models are integrated and coordinated efficiently, attending regular coordination meetings as necessary
